*** pixabay
- huge online stock library of
  - photos
  - art
  - video
  - sound

- all of these were uploaded by original artist

**** searching
- at upper  bar there is a dropdown to choose what type of asset you want to look for

**** licenses
- there are different licenses for different images
  - some can have prohibited uses, e.g. you must edit it

- before Jan 9, 2019 all the images were Public Domain
  - Pixabay was purchased by Canva
  - everything in pixabay is avail on canva

*** pexels
- focuses on photos and videos
- photos have a royalty free license

- loose license
  - you have to modify them
  - don't need to attribute

*** free-images
- websites like pexels and pixabay changed their standard license
- this allows you to search based on license

*** rawpixel
- has a huge catalog
  - public domain (CC0 license)
  - free (not CC0)
  - paid

- a lot are historical pictures

*** canva
- you can use images from pixabay by lookint at the history of images in canva
  - click on the ℹ

** problems
- some sites won't allow you to use a public image
  - redbubble requires you to change it up a lot
